Plain terms for a small site: use the documents in your own business as much as you like, do not resell them, and treat everything here as reference rather than as advice about your own situation.

What you may do with a kit

• Use it in your own business, for as many of your own customers as you have.
• Edit it, rebrand it, and put your own details on it.
• Share it inside your company with the people who need it.
• Use it for client work you deliver yourself.

What you may not do

• Resell, redistribute or republish the files, edited or not.
• Include them in a product, course or template library you sell or give away.
• Post them where they can be downloaded by people who have not bought them.

Not advice

Nothing on this site is tax, legal or immigration advice, and nothing here creates a professional relationship. The guides describe what published sources say and the dates on which those sources were read. Whether any of it applies to your business is a determination — in Japan, a tax determination is work reserved to a 税理士 (zeirishi, tax accountant), and legal advice to a lawyer.

Rules change and sources move. Each guide names the conditions that would make it out of date; check the sources yourself before acting on anything that matters.

Liability

We put real work into being accurate and we correct mistakes quickly when they are pointed out. What we cannot do is carry the consequences of a commercial decision you make after reading a free guide. Our liability for anything arising from this site or a product bought on it is limited to what you paid us.

Products and delivery

Products are digital and delivered by email straight after payment. The download link in that email re-issues the current version of the kit for a year from purchase. Refunds are covered by the refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

Availability

The site is provided as it is. Guides get rewritten, renamed and occasionally withdrawn when their sources change. A kit you have bought stays available to you for the year regardless.

Governing law

Japanese law applies, and the Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for any dispute. Nothing here removes a consumer protection that applies to you and cannot be waived.
